Shamanism and New Age aspects are apparent in a large portion of the culture, tradition, and every day life for the participants of the rainbow gathering.
While other tradtions are "tolerated" but not integrated this creates a silent barrier and is obvious.
While these Earth Bases traditions are rooted from the old path and the old ways of doing things these "old Paths" are also from a time in history when they prayed everyday just so the sun would rise or just so the moon would rise. We all know if we pray or not the sun will rise and will the moon.
Tribal lower tier consciousness when we lived in tribes and packs is now something we have collectively all grown past. We are moving forward and it is beautiful to keep traditions of our ancestors but also realize there are other places to reach with out leaving behind these tribal ideas and notions.
It would be more effective to mesh/integrate old ways, native american, shamanic, neo paganism into more inclusive trans formative transcending practices.
The ladder of growth from these paths just liek anyone one path begins to flatline at some point and other higher sources are needed to complete and fulfill the souls quenching for wisdom.
I say this with out a dogmatic stance or any nothing that any one truth is the only truth, but each truth is but a facet of the whole truth. All this Put together ,applied and integrated together makes way for something incredible.
