Donations are a crucial part of the Rainbow champaign. Its amazing that everything from the gathering is "free" and on a donation basis only but how can it be out of all the donations the Gathering remains unorganized,low grade, lacking in design,comfort and recreational activity's.
With all the money given to this organization it should be in better working order by now.
The Guide-
The Rainbow guide as anyone who has gone to the rainbow gathering has seen the rainbow guide.
They say that this project costs thousands of dollars and for a group that never charges for anything they need donations. If they receive this much in donations to make this "guide" they need some real help putting it together. They need guidelines,rules,ways to keep the earth clean and safe while camping the the Forrest. How to treat others with respect and a map of kitchens and workshops.
The guide is not well made and needs serious work. I hope they realize they need a new guide format so it may be functional and not a waste of donations and paper(trees.)
If supporting the rainbow guide is a priority then they need to make it worth while to print.
" the magic hat " look the money just vanishes!All of Rainbow runs on donations from all kinds of people. Tents,ropes,water lines,filters,fire wood,food for thousands,dishes,clothes, medicine is all donated.
Thats alot of money that adds up in the end and you would think with all these donations the gathering would be in allot better shape, it makes you wonder where is all the money going? Maybe they just dont know how to spend it right or buy the right supplies.
This also makes it easy for homeless ,train hoppers,no ambition drifter types to just leech and and use the good will of others for their own negative reasons and negative intentions.
There should be mandatory donations not of money but of at least food and supplies that way everyone can pitch in , instead of feeding thousands of mouths that never intend on giving back.
